Stonur Potassium Citrate and Magnesium Citrate have a protective role against lithogenesis since é reduce the urinary over-saturation of calcium salts, form soluble complexes with calcium ions, inhibit the growth and aggregation of crystals, increase the clearance and dissolution rate of fragments, increase protective analytes (e.g. citrate, potassium and pH). In particular, Magnesium Citrate encourages the formation of complexes between magnesium and oxalate, thus reducing; the supersaturation of calcium oxalate, inhibits the growth of calcium oxalate crystals and inhibits the growth of calcium phosphate crystals.

Phyllanthus niruri extract contains Triterpenes which inhibit cytotoxicity. induced by calcium oxalate, Lignans (phyllanthina) which showed activity; uricosuric acid and alkaloids showing activity; antispastic, as they produce a relaxation of smooth muscles, mostly ù highlighted in the urinary tract, which would facilitate the urinary elimination of stones. Potassium Bicarbonate improves the balance of calcium through an increased retention of the same, both renal and bone.

Vitamin B6, being a cofactor of transaminase responsible for the conversion of glyoxylate (precursor of oxalate) to glycine influences the production of oxalate by reducing the substrate for its formation.
