Effectiveness After One Single Application
Evaluated via Stinging test (itch test): application of a 10% lactic acid solution to the nasolabial folds previously sensitized with 70° alcohol.
When the sensation appears of itching (T0”), this is evaluated with a score from 0 (absent) to 3 (severe).
Immediately afterwards the product is applied on one of the nasolabial folds, while the other fold acts as a control.
/> The intensity of the itching is assessed simultaneously on both sides after 5, 10, 20, 30, 60, 120 and 300 seconds.

CALENDULA EXTRACT ( CALENDULA OFFICINALIS FLOWER EXTRACT)
Everyone knows Calendula above all for its beautiful, very bright orange-yellow flowers. The name derives from
Calendae: the first day of the month and indicates its abundant flowering in every month of the year. In the past it has often been confused with Dandelion and Chicory, plants with which it shares heliotropism (a common characteristic of many Asteraceae): its flowers in fact follow the course of the sun. The Latins called it solsequium = following the sun, because the flowers bloom when it shines and are always turned towards it until they close at sunset. From the Latin term derives the contracted form sosli-soulsi and finally souci, the French name of Calendula*
The plant is mainly recognized as having emollient, soothing, refreshing and re-epithelising functions: its use is aimed above all at treating dry, delicate and easily reddened. The (topical) use, in addition to improving skin elasticity and trophism, making the skin more resistant to mechanical insults, is indicated in the treatment of inflammation, eczema, burns, ulcerations (varicose ulcers) etc., to facilitate and promote the epithelialization process*

POMEGRANATE EXTRACT (PUNICA GRANATUM FRUIT EXTRACT)
The name pomegranate (punica granatum) derives from the Latin malum (apple) and granatum (with seeds). The shape of the pomegranate actually resembles that of the apple, but with numerous sour-tasting grains inside, called arils. The name pomegranate properly refers to the tree, the fruit is called pomegranate**
The pomegranate is made up of 80% water: The rest is made up of 13% sugars, 3-4% fiber, 1% protein and fat 0.5-1%. It is also rich in vitamins A and C. It is also a source of important minerals such as potassium (250 mg/100 grams of edible part) and phosphorus (22 mg/100 g), it also contains less significant quantities of magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese and copper**
The Calendula officinalis flower extract, rich in mucilages, carotenoids, flavonoids, phytosterols and saponins, has been selected for its softening, refreshing and soothing action.

Pomegranate contains large quantities of antioxidants, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and provitamin A, but above all polyphenols (primarily ellagic acid, but also punicalagin present in pomegranate juice), whose protective effects in hindering oxidative stress have long been known**
The pomegranate extract included in the product has in particular a strong hydrating activity, as it stimulates the synthesis of aquaporin 3 (ex vivo test), restoring the water homeostasis of the skin.

FOCUS AQUAPORINS
Aquaporins are transmembrane proteins that allow the transport of water molecules through tissues to ensure water homeostasis.
Aquaporin 3 (AQP3) is a protein specific to the epidermis. Many studies show that a lack of AQP3 causes a loss of elasticity of the epidermis, an alteration of the skin barrier
and a decrease in the amount of water in the stratum corneum, leading to significant dehydration of the skin.
Maintaining an optimal synthesis of AQP3 is therefore essential to preserve the skin's water resources, guaranteeing elastic and smooth skin.
PANTHENOL
Panthenol (provitamin B5) is readily absorbed from the skin and transformed into pantothenic acid, which is a constituent of coenzyme A. It has an excellent ability to retain moisture and this helps keep the skin hydrated and elastic. It facilitates epithelial regeneration and has an anti-reddening and dermotrophic action.
Due to its hydrating, soothing and anti-reddening action, it gives comfort and relief to even the most delicate and sensitive skin.
SORBITOL
Sorbitol is a sugar belonging to the polyalcohol (or polyol) family. In nature it is found in numerous fruits (apples, pears, apricots, grapes, plums, raspberries and strawberries).
It is a common ingredient in cosmetic products, as it acts as a humectant and skin moisturizer. It also improves the structure of the foam.
VITAMIN B12 (CYANOCOBALAMIN)
Water-soluble vitamin which, at the skin level, has a soothing, anti-itch and protective action on the skin barrier, making it ideal for sensitive skin.
It gives a pleasant pink color to the product.
