Emollient Skin Spray for Dogs / Cats

THERAIDRA MICROBIOMA SPRAY   is an innovative formulation for skin use for dogs and cats based on emollient lipid substances, ceramides and Vitamin E.
Contains BIOME21, a mix of ingredients capable of supporting the normal functionality of the skin microbiome and is enriched with nitive and normalizing, such as glycyrrhetic acid, palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and aloe vera.
The formulation promotes the restoration and maintenance of the integrity of the skin barrier function and protects the skin and coat.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
BIOME21: Original complex of ingredients (Acetyl Heptapeptide-4 and Inulin complex) able to:

Strengthen the function of the skin barrier against physical agents and pathogens
Promote greater microbial diversity, balance the skin microbiota and increase beneficial bacteria on the skin
Increase the expression of genes associated with tight junctions, promoting barrier integrity skin
Stimulate the immune response against keratinocyte pathogens
Modulate the profile of ceramides favoring an increase in long-chain ones, essential for preserving the skin barrier
Significantly reduce water loss in the skin epiderms de, preserving skin hydration
GLYCYRETIC ACID: also used in products for pediatric use, it is a soothing substance and very suitable for sensitive and inflamed skin.

SKIN MICROBIOTA AND DERMATOLOGICAL PATHOLOGIES

In dogs, the deeper skin layer would seem to lack a defined microbiota while Proteobacteria followed by Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Moraxellaceae were the most abundant phyla on the skin surface .

BIOME21   is an original blend of ingredients (Acetyl Heptapeptide-4 and Inulin complex) with dual effect:

In vitro efficacy studies have demonstrated the ability of BIOME21 to promote a change in the skin microbiota in favor of beneficial bacteria.

Human keratinocytes were pre-incubated to 24 hours with BIOME21 or with a culture medium as a control.
Subsequently, the epidermal cells were exposed to a mixture of S. epidermidis labeled with green fluorescence and inactivated S. aureus labeled with red fluorescence. The keratinocyte nuclei were stained with blue fluorescence.
