TERAPES is a clinically tested post-operative shoe, indicated following mini-invasive and percutaneous operations on the forefoot, it can be used in cases of bandaged feet and allows partial mobilization of the forefoot.
Clinical tests have demonstrated that the semi-rigid biomechanical sole allows for a more fluid step and unloading of the forefoot. Furthermore, by lengthening the mid-stance time, the semi-rigid biomechanical technology protects the metatarsals by reducing the mobility of the metatarsophalangeal joint, thus allowing an early recovery of motor functions (Clinical study on relief footwear in the post-surgical period, 2012).< br /> The toe-to-ground angle is accentuated to help the natural rolling of the foot, helping to simulate natural walking.
The padded, seamless nylon upper and the velcro closure make TERAPES also excellent for the treatment of dorsal, interdigital and subungual ulcers and in cases of fragile skin or sensitive skin as they prevent annoying rubbing and painful friction.
The double Velcro closure allows you to completely open the front part of the shoe and adjust its internal volume , allowing you to accommodate swollen or edematous feet and to insert finished or custom-made insoles.
