Description
Ascorbic acid food supplement (Vitamin C) the body's first line of defense against free radicals and ensures protection from oxidizing agents which are toxic to the cell. Its numerous functions can be traced back to the ability to to oxidize and reduce reversibly (oxidation-reduction or redox reaction):
- regenerates the activity antiradical of vitamin E in the tissues;
- promotes the reduction of folic acid in its coenzymatic forms;
- promotes the intestinal absorption of iron by reduction from Fe3+ to Fe2+.
Ascorbic acid is the fundamental cofactor of enzymes that catalyze proline and lysine hydroxylation reactions for the formation of collagen, the main protein of connective tissue. Vitamin C deficiency can cause cause alterations in the walls of blood vessels with the appearance of hemorrhages.

Mode for use
From 0 to 1 year: 5-10 drops per day; over 1 year 10 to 20 drops per day.
It can be used as it is, diluted in any drink or simply in water. As a snack it is It is possible to mix a few drops with the grated fruit to prevent oxidation and promote the absorption of the nutrients it contains.
