General Specifications
Pure cod liver oil for veterinary use Raw material for animal feed (Class 10.4.6 EU Regulation 68/2013). Oil extracted from the fresh liver of oceanic cod and other “Gadidae†by cold extraction, centrifugation and filtration .  Produced in compliance with IFSA (Feed ingredients Standard), with EC Regulation 277/2012 (dioxin, furane and dioxin type PCBs), with EU Regulation 744/2012 (heavy metals) and Directive 2002/ 32/CE modified on 10/02/2009
100% pure. Due to its purity it is recommended for organic farming.
The content of Vitamins (A - D3 - F) must be in the proportions shown below (Pharmacopoeia).
Cod Liver Oil for veterinary use, To be VERY PURE and of EXCELLENT QUALITY it must comply with certain parameters: a) it must not be extracted from farmed fish, but exclusively from the livers of healthy cod of oceanic origin. >b) must be straw yellow and transparent in color (a different dark or reddish color is an indication of high acidity and/or oxidation of Vitamins)
c) must have low acidity (< 1.0%) . It is a parameter that indicates the percentage of Oleic acid in an oil and is the main indicator of quality. The higher the acidity, the poorer the oil.
d) it must not contain any other type of oil (fish, seeds, etc.),  flavoring (lemon, orange, etc.), preservatives (BHT)
e) must not stink, be coloured, rancid or separate at room temperature.
f) comply with European conformities and standards, as well as directives CE on feed.

How to use
It is necessary to immediately dispel the belief that the oil should only be administered in winter or, even worse, that it only serves to gain weight the animal. In general, the following uses can be highlighted: A) To pregnant mares for the vitamin and energy needs of their condition, as well as to obtain regular pregnancies and well-developed offspring capable of undertaking growth with advantage. B) In the regular growth of the working animal or in the rapid growth of the meat animal, when the demand for energy is high and the need to have a healthy and adequate skeleton to support the weight of the adult (whether for fattening or for work) is absolutely essential. C) In case of diet low in vitamins with dry foods (hay or flour), little exposure to the sun, weakness of animals with symptoms of vitamin deficiency. D) As an energy tonic for working animals such as horses or dogs during periods of greater effort to maintain physical shape and a dazzling appearance. E) Both by mouth and with local applications, as a softener and regenerator of the skin and hair, especially in cases of surgical shaving, wounds, abrasions or sores. As an adjuvant in the care of broken, flaking or fragile horses' hooves both as food and for local application (for this purpose a specific high quality fat called "Super Gel ADF" based on Cod Liver Oil is available).
