Description
Food supplement based on iron. Iron è a fundamental micronutrient for the human body. Indeed, as an essential component, it is part of some basic biological mechanisms such as DNA replication, cellular energy processes and the use of oxygen, so that its deficit during development has multiple effects on erythropoiesis, neuronal development and on cardiac, skeletal, muscular and gastrointestinal functions. In the preterm infant, the high martial requirement, higher than the intake provided by a normal milk diet, requires early supplementation. During childhood, iron deficiency anemia is; the most ù common micronutrient deficiency disorder related to high iron demand. In this period, in fact, there is a rapid growth (high requirement) and at the same time a dietary intake of bioavailable iron at times scarce. the most frequent: to varying degrees of seriousness; affects 30% of the population.
In elderly and debilitated subjects, iron deficiency states are; due to deficient intake or bad absorption of the same. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the need for iron increases, to allow the growth of the placenta and correct oxygenation of mother and baby. È necessary for the production of red blood cells of the unborn child and to keep those of the mother at the right level. Iron deficiency in pregnancy leads to a form of anemia known as gestational iron deficiency anemia.
Gluten free (less than 20 ppm).
