Chronic lesions often have a surface coating made up of exudate residues, cells from tissue desquamation, fibrin shoots, necrotic tissue and bacterial biofilm, which contribute to hindering the process of fibroblastic proliferation and therefore cause a delay, also considerable, of tissue repair processes.
When these structures are present in a fair quantity, Prontosan Wound Gel particularly suitable in case of burns, superficial lesions and cavity lesions.
Prontosan Wound Gel When these structures are present in a light layer on the lesion bed, it is possible to use Prontosan solution at every dressing change.

Ingredients
The cationic surfactant (Undecylene-amidopropylbetaine) contained in Prontosan® Wound Gel Hydroxyethyl cellulose gives Prontosan® Wound Gel to keep the product adhered to the wound bed, even in superficial lesions and in difficult to reach areas. Glycerol contributes to maintaining a moist environment by hydrating the lesion. Polyaminopropyl biguanide allows for stability of the product for 8 weeks from opening the container. Indication Cleansing and hydration of: Pressure lesions Vascular lesions (arterial, venous, mixed) Diabetic foot Fistulas Burns (Prontosan® Wound Gel the lesion and minimizes trauma when changing the dressing, considerably reducing pain and the consequent need for supportive pain therapy, thus increasing patient compliance).
