Ortopad È a self-adhesive occluder used in orthotic therapies of amblyopia and strabismus.

Support
Support in non-woven fabric 100% colored cotton that allows skin transpiration, avoids the problem of sweating by offering the maximum comfort and with swelling polymers that generate a pleasant 3D effect.

Central pad
E & rsquo; composed of a very thin trilaminate material inside which is there is a black photo-absorbent screen that prevents light from filtering from the outside.

Glue
Hot Melt Pressure Sensitive (hot melt glue with adhesive properties activated by pressure). High adhesiveness. Hypoallergenic. Solvent free. Latex free.

Shape
The shape of the patch is; elongated in the area of adhesion to the nasal saddle and allows correct portability; of the glasses at the same time as the occluder. The glasses are well aligned, without out of focus and discomfort for the patient. The elongated shape of the patch avoids the lateral filtration of light.
This important attribute of Ortopad prevents abnormal movement of the eye muscles that can occur; determine a worsening of the pathology.
The incisions in the area of adhesion to the nasal septum effectively prevent the formation of wrinkles on the patch that could lead to premature detachment of the occluder and a reduction in comfort during orthoptic therapy.
