Norsan Fatty Acid Analysis

The NORSAN Fatty Acid Analysis Test is; a blood sampling kit used to determine the fatty acid profile.
In total, 26 fatty acids present in the erythrocyte membrane are measured. At the same time, the omega 3 index and the omega 6/3 ratio are also determined.
The analysis of fatty acids is carried out by an external and independent laboratory, specialized in the field.
To obtain some results representative of the last 60-80 days, it would be advisable to carry out the test on an empty stomach (at least 4 hours).

Mode; of use
Carry out the test on an empty stomach (at least 4 hours). Do not take products containing fish oil for at least 24 hours before testing.
Wash your hands before testing. Pull the cap off the lancing device by twisting slightly. Place the lancing device on a fingertip of your choice and apply pressure. Color the two circles on the “ Omegametrix ” dropping a few drops of blood (the finger must not touch the card). Leave to dry for a few minutes.
In the meantime, fill in the form with your personal data.
Remove two stickers from the form with your personal data and apply:
- 1 on the “ Omegametrix ” card; - 1 on the transparent plastic bag.
Remove the lower part of the form with personal data and keep it. Insert the card stock “ Omegametrix ” sealed with the adhesive in the clear plastic bag. Insert the card stock “ Omegametrix ” sealed with the adhesive in the transparent plastic bag.
The results will be sent by e-mail within 3 weeks.
The analysis of fatty acids is carried out within the quality standards; DIN ISO 15189.

Storage
Store at room temperature.
