Laboratoires Expanscience, experts in newborn skin and leaders in the field of daily care of newborns and children for over three generations, launched a world-first research program more than ten years ago. This approach is now recognized by 9 patents and 19 publications, including one in the British Journal of Dermatology.
The Research and Development center has conducted fundamental research on the physiology of newborn skin, from its surface to the epidermal stem cells, from the first days of life, with the support of renowned European researchers in the field of dermatology.
It was therefore possible to develop current scientific knowledge of newborn skin and quantify the variations in concentration of some important physiological skin parameters such as
for example NMF (natural hydration factor) and the behavior of skin stem cells, fundamental for the maintenance of all epidermal elements over time and their regeneration in the face of any skin lesion.
