Antimicrobial dressing in absorbent polyurethane foam Mepilex Ag is a polyurethane foam dressing for moderately exuding acute or chronic wounds, such as venous leg ulcers or burns, in the presence of signs of infection. Infected lesions are painful and require optimal treatment.
Thanks to Safetac1, Mepilex Ag reduces pain during dressing changes. To further improve the patient's condition, Mepilex Ag provides antimicrobial action, thanks to silver technology.

The Safetac layer seals the edges of the wound, to avoid leakage of exudate onto the periwound skin, thus minimizing the risk of maceration.
Thanks to the Safetac layer, the dressing can be be replaced without damaging the wound or periwound skin and without causing further pain to the patient.
Mepilex Ag inactivates pathogens present in wounds within 30 minutes of application with a prolonged effect of up to 7 days. By reducing the number of microorganisms, Mepilex Ag can also reduce wound odor.
