L & rsquo; lipoic acid è a substance naturally present in the body and contained in food. In some circumstances it may be necessary to supplement it, that's why é è considered a vitamin-like substance. Lipoic acid has an antioxidant function, in fact, through the direct action, to reduce some signals of oxidative stress and to promote the recirculation of other important physiological antioxidants such as vitamins C and E. Lipoic acid is; involved in the metabolism of nutrients, and in particular the conversion of glucose and fats into ATP and therefore into energy.
