Irilens Eye Drops 10 vials of 0.5ml

Irilens Ocular Drops is a sterile ophthalmic solution, free of preservatives, which contains 0.4% high molecular weight hyaluronic acid sodium salt, guaranteeing a hydrating and lubricating effect.
Hyaluronic acid sodium salt is a mucopolysaccharide that manages to restore balance in the event of tear alteration, also leading to greater hydration precisely because it is found at 4%. It is therefore indicated to treat disorders caused by dry eyes.
It can also be used by those who wear contact lenses.
Eye health is a very important aspect and depends on various factors that can be both internal and external to the body. Among the most important aspects concerning the eyes there is certainly hydration.
Tears have the function of hydrating the eyes, which are distributed on the ocular surface thanks to the frequent closing of the eyelids, forming what is called a tear film, which is a protective film that is found between the eye and the external environment. The function is to bring nutrients and oxygen to the cornea, which has no blood vessels.  Foreign substances can also be removed, such as some particles of dirt, avoiding aggression by germs. 
All of this is physiological, but may not be very effective in the case of poor tear production or an alteration of the components present in the tears, in these cases we are faced with dry eye syndrome and all the symptoms associated with it. The symptoms are itching, burning, redness, a constant sensation of having sand in the eyes and greater than normal discomfort from light. This disorder mainly affects pregnant or menopausal women. This is because estrogen levels change, altering the functioning of the tear glands and consequently also the tear film.
Dry eyes can also be caused by pathologies such as thyroid disorders and Sjögren's syndrome.
This disorder is aggravated following prolonged use of electronic devices which lead to closing the eyelids much less than normal.
What causes dry eyes is not only a physiological factor, but also certain atmospheric agents such as the sun, wind or excessive pollution. 
Both in the case of a physiological cause and following atmospheric events, hydrating eye drops such as Irilens Gocce can be useful. Obviously eye drops must be used if the presence of specific diseases that have led to dry eyes is excluded. The use of the drops consists in restoring the stability of the tear film through artificial tears.
In addition to the various remedies that can be used to improve eye hydration, it is advisable to:
Humidify the rooms so as not to have a temperature that is too high and dry,
Frequently changing the air in the home, or in the environments we mostly frequent, for example in the office,
Hydrate your body during the day, because this also has a benefit on your eyes,
Take frequent breaks if you work a lot on the PC so that your eyes can rest Protect your eyes with sunglasses, both in case of sun but also in case of wind.

How to use
With clean hands, open the protective bag, detach a single dose and open it by turning and removing the cap. Instill 1/2 drops in each eye by lightly pressing the single-dose. The container, after the first opening, can be closed with the appropriate cap and the solution remaining inside the single-dose can be reused within 12 hours. Contact lens wearers can apply 1-2 drops of solution to each lens before insertion, to keep the eye moist and lubricated. Repeat, if necessary, the operation 2-4 times a day. The product is for single patient use.

Components
Hyaluronic acid sodium salt 0.4%, monobasic sodium phosphate monohydrate, dibasic sodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, water for injections.

Conservation
Store unused single doses in the protective bag. Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package. Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.

Warnings
The product is for external ophthalmic use only. Do not use the product if the container is damaged or not perfectly closed when first opened. Allow at least 15 minutes to pass after use before instilling medicines for external ophthalmic use. During application, do not touch the eye or any other surface with the dispensing end of the container. Do not use in case of known incompatibility with any component of the preparation. Keep the preparation out of the reach of children. If you experience any discomfort during use, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor. In some cases, after administration, a brief blurring of vision was observed due to the density of the solution, which however disappeared very quickly.
