Hylo Dual Intense Eye Drops 2x10ml

Hylo Dual Intense is a sterile, preservative-free solution for ophthalmic use.
It is used for intensive therapeutic lubrication of the dry ocular surface and for the stabilization of the tear film. Relieves inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning.
Burning and itching of the eyes, tearing, sensation of a foreign body in the eye or dryness are symptoms of an irritated eye. Often these signs indicate that the eye is not sufficiently hydrated. Thanks to the double mechanism of action of sodium hyaluronate and ectoine, the application of Hylo Dul Intense, in these cases, brings particular benefits. The product contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance present in many organs of the human body, including the eye. It has the particular physical characteristic of forming a uniform, stable and long-lasting wetting film which is not easily eliminated after rinsing. Thanks to these bioadhesive characteristics, the cornea and conjunctiva are protected and guarantee, together with natural tears, a better sliding of the eyelid on the eye. Hylo Dual Intense has a particularly high content of sodium hyaluronate, which gives it high viscosity. The eye is thus equipped with a soothing humectant film with a particularly intensive action and for a prolonged period of time. Persistent or more serious complaints are alleviated and the eye is protected against further irritation. Ectoine is a natural substance extracted from microorganisms that live in extreme environments (such as salt lakes). To protect themselves from extreme environmental factors, these microorganisms produce ectoine, a natural substance whose special properties are used in Hylo Dual Intense. Ectoine increases the adhesion of water to the cells of the ocular surface, thus creating a physiological barrier on the conjunctiva. At the same time, ectoine stabilizes the fat-soluble portion of the tear film, which protects against excessive tear evaporation. Thanks to the interaction between sodium hyaluronate and ectoine, a dense humectant film is created on the eye which protects against the evaporation of tears for a long period of time. Hylo Dual Intense relieves typical inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning caused by environmental irritants.

How to use
Remove the cap before use. To remove the cap, hold it still with one hand and with the other, rotate the bottle bringing it downwards. Before the first application of Hylo Dual Intense, turn the bottle upside down with the dropper downwards and press on the bottom of the bottle to release the first drop from the dropper. The bottle is now ready to use for subsequent applications. Keep the bottle upside down by placing your thumb on the top of the bottle and the other fingers on the bottom of the bottle. Support the hand holding the bottle made with the Comod technique with your free hand. Bend your head slightly backwards, with your free hand gently pull the lower eyelid downwards and press quickly and forcefully on the bottom of the bottle. This activates the mechanism for releasing a drop. Thanks to the special valve mechanism of the Comod system, the size and speed of release of a drop are always the same, regardless of the pressure applied. Slowly close your eyes to allow the fluid to spread evenly over the ocular surface. After use, immediately close the bottle with the cap, making sure there is no liquid residue on the dropper. During instillation, avoid any contact between the dropper of the bottle and the eye or the skin of the face.
The Comod system releases 10 ml of solution, equivalent to approximately 300 drops. For technical reasons, a small amount of solution always remains in the bottle at the end of use. The use of Hylo Dual Intense does not have a limited duration.
Hylo Dual Intense must be used according to these instructions for use or in individual cases, as directed by your doctor. In general, for adults and children over 6 years of age, 1 drop of Hylo Dual Intense is applied 3 times a day in the conjunctival sac of each eye.
Hylo Dual Intense should not be administered more than 10 times a day during pregnancy and breastfeeding and in children under 12 years of age.

Components
1 ml of Hylo Dual Intense contains 2 mg of sodium hyaluronate, 20 mg of ectoine, boric acid, borax and water for injections.

Warnings
Use only if the outer packaging is sealed and intact before use.
It is advisable that the bottle is intended for the treatment of only one person.
If you use any other eye drops, wait at least 30 minutes between applications and always use Hylo Dual Intense last. Ophthalmic ointments, however, should not be used when you are using Hylo Dual Intense.
Since Hylo Dual Intense eye drops contain no preservatives, long-lasting treatment is particularly well tolerated. Hypersensitivity reactions (burning, excessive tearing) have been observed in very rare cases, which however disappear immediately upon stopping the administration of Hylo Dual Intense.
Hylo Dual Intense cannot be used while wearing contact lenses: given the viscosity of the preparation, application of the product may result in temporary blurring of vision.
There is currently no information available regarding the use of Hylo Dual Intense in pediatric age or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Based on current knowledge, Hylo Dual Intense can be used in children over 6 years of age or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Hylo Dual Intense is suitable for long-term use; however, as in the case of any other condition, if the symptoms persist (for example more than two weeks), it is advisable to consult an ophthalmologist.
Do not use in case of proven hypersensitivity to one of the components and in children under 6 years.
If you use Hylo Dual Intense more frequently (e.g. more than 10 times a day) and if you have more serious complaints, you should contact an ophthalmologist to have your eyes examined regularly.
Do not use while wearing contact lenses.
Do not use after the expiry date.
Keep out of reach of children.
