Menopause represents a phase of transition and adaptation to the decline of ovarian function in a woman's life: hot flashes, anxiety, irritability are the main symptoms of this period is also characterized by an increased risk of coronary heart disease and osteoporosis.

For some time the use of estrogen replacement therapies, aimed at reducing these problems, has led to an increase in incidence of hormone-related neoplastic pathologies, such as breast cancer.

The research therefore focused on phytoestrogens, which are molecules with a structure similar to human estrogens but with a hormonal action weaker and with insignificant side effects.

Gunè contains:
- Genistein titrated at 98%
- Lignans from flax seeds titrated at 20% in SDG

Among the soy isoflavones, la Genistein presents estrogenic activity (more marked): it inhibits the enzymes that alter bone metabolism, improves the endothelial activity of the vessels, reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, intervenes effectively on vasomotor symptoms ( hot flashes), on the formation of collagen and elastin in the skin.

Lignans belong to the class of phytoestrogens, have a more marked anti-estrogenic activity and therefore take on an important protective role against hormonal neoplasms -dependent especially regarding breast cancer; preserve cognitive function.

Some working groups have paid attention to the thyreostatic effects that exposure to phytoestrogens can cause; Gunè contains a quantity of Iodine sufficient to prevent the risk of hypothyroidism.

The percentage of EPA and DHA, contained in an optimal ratio in Gunè, ensures the body adequate coverage of polyunsaturated fatty acids which in synergy with the two phytoestrogens present in the product, protects the cardio-circulatory function.

The targeted activity of the Lactobacilli “Sporogenes” ensures complete and effective absorption of the phytoestrogens present in Gunè.

Vitamin D3 regulates the formation, growth and strengthening of bones, intervening in the pathology of osteoporosis. Vitamin E, due to its antioxidant properties, is essential for cellular metabolism, and in synergy with antioxidant activity of Lignans, protects cell membranes and other components from attack by free radicals.
