Indications
Carpo-metacarpal osteoarthritis (CMC) of the first ray of the hand (thumb)

Main function of the Medical Device
The medical device provides stabilization of the thumb.
The medical device provides pain relief and provides functional improvement in case of carpometacarpal osteoarthritis.

Features
Orthosis for stabilization of the trapezius-metacarpal joint in functional position of the thumb, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and the grip of the hand. Rigid radial splint for relative immobilization of the first ray of the hand. Comfortable padded lining. Elastic band at wrist level and tongue at thumb level with velcro closure.

Available in right and   left version.

How to wear it
Insert your hand into the orthosis so that the splint is aligned with the thumb and that the last phalanx is free. Tighten the hook and loop closure on the wrist for firm yet comfortable support. Pull the flap with the hook and loop closure around your thumb so that it passes between the thumb and forefinger from the dorsal to the palmar side. Then secure the tab through the hook and loop fastener.

Store in a dry place away from excessive heat and light.
Do not prolong the use of the product without medical advice.
The product has been designed for use by one person only, do not use it on more than one person.
The product must not be used in direct contact with injured skin.
If you encounter problems in using the product such as the appearance of pain or obvious local signs, remove it and contact a healthcare professional.
In the event of a serious accident following the Use of the product contact the manufacturer and the healthcare professional in your area.
When adjusting the straps, tighten them so that they are stable but comfortable.
The brace must not be used if it is necessary a relative, absolute immobilization or the operation ch irurgica.

Washing instructions
Wash by hand in lukewarm water with neutral soap or detergent, rinse well, wring gently, allow to dry horizontally. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, do not dry clean.
