Description
Food supplement. Folic acid intervenes in the cell division process, helps strengthen the immune system, reduce tiredness and fatigue and maintain normal psychological function. It also intervenes in the synthesis of amino acids, in the metabolism of homocysteine and in hematopoiesis, that is; in the formation and maturation of all blood cells. For women of age fertile, in anticipation of pregnancy, the supplementary intake of folic acid è useful for increasing the state of maternal folate which, if low, is a risk factor for developing neural tube defects in the fetus *; it also contributes to the growth of maternal tissues.
