CE medical device, class I, non-sterile. Standard and convex plates. The plaque is equipped with a single-layer hydrocolloid skin protector of uniform thickness, to guarantee an effective seal. The special design of the skin protector avoids any contact of the flange with the peristomal skin. The structure of the plate is elongated downwards to improve skin protection under the stoma. The polyethylene flange has high flexibility and it is equipped, in the lower part, with a safety guide that allows easy positioning of the bag, ensuring correct coupling between bag and plate. It also features, in the upper part, a pressure coupling device to further guarantee a secure union between plate and bag. The convex plate has a particular shape of the convexity which allows correct externalization of the stoma without exerting excessive and localized pressure on the peristomal skin planes. In fact, the pressure relief is gradually distributed over a large area of the skin. The convexity measures 6 mm deep.
The plaque is consisting of a monolayer of uniform thickness of hydrocolloid skin protector, combined with a junction ring with the low density polyethylene bag. (LDPE). &` also equipped with a polyethylene film which allows the junction ring with the bag to be spaced from the base of the plate. This allows you to insert your thumbs under the ring to facilitate the union between the bag and the plate, avoiding pressure on the abdomen. The flange is equipped with good flexibility and has a safety guide in the lower part that allows safe and precise positioning of the bag. The skin protector is equipped with a protection paper imprinted with the product identification data and the different cutting lines of the skin protector depending on the diameter of the stoma.
