FIORDINASO

Accessory medical device for syringe which allows, through its action of nebulization, cavity washing nasal passages of patients (infants, children and adults) with saline solution to prevent or support the treatment of upper airway congestion.
Specially designed for the nose of newborns and children to spray the physiological solution continuously and non-invasively, allowing for delicate and complete nasal washing.
Suitable for:

Mode of use
Withdraw the saline solution using a 2.5 ml or 5 ml syringe. In the case of syringes with needle, remove the needle before assembling with the FIORDINASO device.
Fit the FIORDINASO device onto the syringe. Gently insert the end of FLORAL FLOWER into one nostril, so that the petals touch the edge, then press the syringe piston all the way down to activate the nebulization of the physiological solution.
In newborns and children aged under 3 years of age, use a 2.5 ml syringe and carry out the operation, taking care to lie the child down on a bed, with the head tilted to the side, and inserting FIORDINASO into the upper nostril.
In children and adults, it is advisable to keep the torso forward and tilt the head sideways, inserting the nasal adapter into the nostril opposite to the direction of inclination.
Repeat the operation of taking the solution and spraying it in the other nostril too. During and after treatment, saline may drip from your nose.
Once nebulization is complete, follow the instructions in the 'Cleaning' paragraph to store and store the device safely.

For application in the pediatric field (newborns and children), follow the instructions of your pediatrician.
Washing in adults can cause be carried out as needed. If in doubt, ask your doctor.

Cleaning:
At the end of each use, remove the soft nasal adapter from the main body and wash its parts under running water, with neutral soap.
Fill the used syringe completely with running water, then apply the FIORDINASO main body and spray all the water. Repeat the operation 2-3 times to free the device from any saline residues.
Rinse both the main body of FIORDINASO and the syringe with running water, taking care to extract the piston from the syringe body for cleaning.
Finally, let it dry and then assemble the various components.
At the end of use, dispose of in plastic.

Warnings
Use the device only in accordance with to the uses indicated.
Use the 2.5 ml syringe on infants and children (using 2.5 ml for each nostril) and the 5 ml syringe on adults (using 5 ml for each nostril).
Store the product away from humidity, heat and light sources.
Before each use, check that the components are not damaged and that the spray hole is free from obstructions. If the device is damaged or obstructed, do not use it.
FIORDINASO È intended to be used by the individual patient for longer nebulizations. For hygienic reasons, follow the instructions in the 'Cleaning' paragraph.
Once the package has been opened, it is recommended to replace FIORDINASO every 12 months, unless the capacity of nebulization fails before this time.
Store FIORDINASO in a dry place after cleaning operations and during the period in which it is not used. Always keep the packaging on which it is the lot number is reported.
The product contains small parts. Small parts, if swallowed, could block the airway and cause a suffocation risk. Be sure to keep the product out of the reach and sight of infants and children.

For correct nebulization of the saline solution, it is recommended to apply sufficient pressure on the syringe to avoid coarse or droplet nebulization.
The device is intended to be used by adult patients independently. Patients at an older age pediatric and people with capacity limited (for example, sensory, physical, psychological) must be supervised during use by a person responsible for their safety.
Do not use in case of ongoing or recently concluded epistaxis.
Do not use in infants less than 1 month old.

Storage
Store at room temperature (0-55 °C), protected from light, in a dry place and away from heat sources. Do not freeze.
Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package. The expiry date refers to the intact and correctly stored product.
Do not use if the package or its parts are not intact.
Do not dispose of the various components in the environment after use.
Keep out of reach of children.
