Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin and the normal transport of oxygen in the body. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron. Folate contributes to normal hematopoiesis. Copper contributes to normal transport of iron in the body. Vitamin B2 contributes to the maintenance of normal red blood cells and normal iron metabolism. Vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 contribute to the normal formation of red blood cells.
