Description Dt3 Rodenticide Paste Ready to Use Bucket 150 Sachets of 10g
Rodenticide Paste
Ready-to-use rodenticide bait based on an active anticoagulant substance, known as Difethialone, effective against House mouse (Mus musculus), Gray rat (Rattus norvegicus) and Black rat (Rattus rattus) even after a single ingestion.
DT3 PASTA contains a bittering substance (Denatonium Benzoate) designed to reduce the risk of accidental ingestion by children and a colourant.
DT3 PASTA can be used in and around industrial, rural and civil buildings, goods depots, homes, cellars, garages and closets.
Due to their delayed mode of action, anticoagulant rodenticides may require 4 to 10 days after taking the bait to be effective.
How to use< /strong>
MICE: up to 50 g of bait per container. If multiple bait containers are needed, place them at least 1-1.5 meters apart.
RATS: up to 200 g of bait per container. If multiple bait containers are needed, place them at least 4-5 meters apart. The bait containers should be checked at least every (for mice 2-3 days) (for rats 5-7 days) at the beginning of the treatment and at least weekly thereafter, in order to check whether the bait is accepted, the containers are intact and to remove the bodies of rodents. Refill the container when necessary.
Warnings
- Read and follow the instructions on the product before use as well as the information accompanying the product or provided at the point of sale.
- Before placing the bait, proceed with an inspection of the infested area and an on-site assessment in order to identify the rodent species, the places of activity and determine the probable cause and extent of the infestation.
- Remove food sources that are easily reachable by rodents (for example spilled grain or food waste). Also, do not clean up the infested area just before treatment, as this will only disturb the rodent population and make it more difficult to gain acceptance of the bait.
- The product must only be used within the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system, which includes, among other things, hygiene measures and, where possible, physical control methods.
- Where possible, secure bait containers to the ground or other structures.
- Bait containers must be clearly labeled with the following information “do not move or open”; “contains a rodenticide”; “product name or authorization number”; “active substance(s)” and “in case of accident, consult a Poison Control Center (112)”.
- When the product is used in public areas, the treated areas must be marked during the treatment period. Alongside the bait, a warning must be made available indicating the risk of primary and secondary anticoagulant poisoning and the first aid measures to be followed in the event of poisoning.
- The bait must be secured so that it is not dragged out of the bait container.
- Place the product out of reach of children, birds, pets, farm animals and other non-target animals.
- Place the product away from food, drinks and animal feed, as well as utensils or surfaces that may come into contact with the product.
- When handling the product, wear protective gloves resistant to substances latex chemicals or equivalent in accordance with EN374-1:2016.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product. Wash hands and directly exposed skin after using the product.
- If bait consumption is low compared to the obvious size of the infestation, evaluate repositioning the bait points in other places and the possibility of changing the type of bait formulation.
- If, after a 35 day treatment period, the baits are still consumed and no decrease in rodent activity is observed, the most likely cause must be determined. If other elements have already been excluded, it is likely that there are resistant rodents: therefore consider, where available, the use of a non-anticoagulant rodenticide or a more effective anticoagulant rodenticide. Also consider the use of traps as an alternative control measure.
- Do not open the bags containing the bait.
- Containers with bait must be placed in the immediate vicinity of places where rodent activity has previously been verified (e.g. walkways, nests, livestock entry fences, openings, burrows, etc. ).
