How does it work?
The hormonal changes associated with menopause disrupt the skin's metabolism due to a sharp decline in estrogen and progesterone levels. The synthesis of supporting tissues decreases, the skin becomes thinner, drier and less compact, wrinkles appear deeper and the face becomes more tired. Cortisol and insulin levels increase, causing dehydration, increased sensitivity, uneven texture with redness, and a yellow complexion due to the glycation process. The skin is weakened and ages faster.
