Keratolytic ointment containing 30% salicylic acid.
Salicylic acid is a fat-soluble substance that mixes with the lipids of the stratum corneum and the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles and is capable of removing them.
Salicylic acid is It is also able to alter the desmosomes (intercellular junctions of the corneocytes), reducing cellular cohesion and determining an exfoliating effect.
It therefore has properties keratolytic and comedolytic.
Moreover, thanks to its ability to to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins, is equipped with properties anti-inflammatory.
