Ice-Tight

INDICATIONS
The bulges in the legs of the horse, or edemas, usually occur in the vicinity of an articular district (knee, fetlock or phalanges) or tendon (flexor tendons on the posterior surface of the limb) and are commonly due to an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the tissues. Oral turgor of the tissues depends on a perfect balance between the local water inflow and outflow. In paraphysiological or pathological conditions (trauma), when this equilibrium is disturbed, there can be stagnation of liquid in the tissue interstices with an increase in the overall quantity of the liquid itself and then swelling occurs.

Ice-Tight performs its absorbing and exuding activity, compared to the liquids accumulated in the tissue, thanks to the presence of substances such as Kaolin and Bentonite that induce the skin to expel these liquids while forming a protective layer that envelops and protects entirely the limb from external agents. The glycerin contained in Ice-Tight also produces an emollient effect in the presence of any contractures present in the tendon.

Ice-Tight thanks to its content in Aloe Vera also plays an important action refreshing, relieving and analgesic that give immediate relief to the horse after work.
Ice-Tight also contains Boric Acid which is very useful in cases of hoof toe injuries, where it prevents the development of germs (fungi or bacteria) of infections affecting the sole and frog. Boric Acid is also useful in cases of so-called â € œbreakingâ € where, by softening the sole, it favors the elimination of any liquid collection.

METHODS FOR USE
Remove dirt or any dressings at the level of the area to be treated, then apply a layer of about 6 mm of Ice-Tight on the limb (s) affected by swelling or trauma.
Cover everything with a plastic film or greaseproof paper, in order to favor the maximum exudation of the treated part, and proceed with a normal rest bandage.
For application in cases of bruising or wounds from the tip, model the right amount of Ice-Tight under the horse's sole and allow it to stay there by applying a suitable bandage. Easily removed with water.

COMPOSITION
Kaolin, Bentonite, Water, Glycerin, Boric acid, Ferrous sulphate, Aloe vera with mint fragrance.
