- Before measuring the temperature, check whether the column of liquid is located below below the first numbered line (between 35°C and 36°C).
- Clean the glass thermometer before and after each use
- Position the thermometer according to the measurement method chosen (axillary, rectal or oral ).
- After about 5 minutes the thermometer will have reached body temperature. The temperature can be read by gently rotating the thermometer. The position of the fluid in the capillary allows the body temperature to be read on the graduated scale.
