1) Make sure the wound is no longer bleeding; and the cut is clean. Clean the skin at least 5 cm around the wound and let it dry completely.
2) Open the plastic bag and remove the paper support with the suture strips; tear off one of the two paper tabs at the end. To reduce possible curling, the strips should be removed from the backing at a 45 degree angle.
3) Starting at the center point of the wound, apply the first half of the strips. of the suture strip transversely with respect to the cut and, bringing the edges of the wound closer, adhere the other half to the of the strip, pressing firmly but taking care not to exert excessive tension.
4) Complete the closure of the wound with additional strips positioned approximately 2 - 3 millimeters apart from each other for possible drainage of exudate.< br />5) To remove the Steri-Strip Suture Adhesive Strips, apply light pressure to the center of the Suture Strip, and then lift each end. towards the wound and gently remove the entire strip.
