Bioderm Stoma Plus â € “Active Dermodetergent Emulsion

Compared to normal intimate hygiene treatments, the cleaning of the stoma must respect the physiological conditions of two very different areas:
- the stoma, which is not; a simple mucous membrane, but part of the intestine. It has an acidic pH (3.5), it has the capacity; to absorb some of the substances with which it comes into contact, but it is not; protected by keratin cells, it is; therefore, easily irritated, it must not come into contact with cytotoxic or histological solutions
- the skin, which despite being protected by a stratum corneum is easily attacked by digestive juices or urine. It has a pH of around 5.0, it needs constant hydration to restore the physiological lipo-lipid film continuously removed with the adhesive aids used for the collection of spills.
A product intended for ostomy hygiene must have a self-balancing pH , or that contributes to the restoration of the correct acidity; of the different areas (stoma-skin).
It must be free of substances that can cause skin alterations or allergies (soaps, petrolatum, parabens, silicones, allergenic perfumes, alcohol).
It must be enriched with moisturizing and emollients.
Stoma Plus used daily prevents the onset of irritation, mycosis and skin alterations.

Modality; of use
Maximum attention must be paid to the cleansing procedure.
The bioderm stoma plus dermodetergent is not used pure but diluted in lukewarm water at the moment of use.
To proceed with cleaning and drying is; always better to avoid using sponges that are rough and can trap unwanted germs and paper that can; cause irritation from rubbing and leave residues that can remain attached to the skin.
The use of biodegradable, disposable, soft, delicate and non-residue Bioderm professional cloths is recommended.
