Description Aptamil BMF Food for Special Medical Purposes From Birth 50 Envelopes
Food for special medical purposes. For the dietary management of preterm infants weighing less than 1,800 g. Nutritionally incomplete, breast milk forti er containing extensively hydrolysed proteins, LCPUFAs including DHA and AA and micronutrients in line with ESPGHAN recommendations for preterm infants.
Nutritional characteristics
How to use
1. Wash your hands thoroughly and use sterilized utensils.
2. Check the expiry date indicated on the package before use.
3. Measure the required amount of breast milk into a sterilized bottle or feeding device in use.
4. Add the contents of a sachet (1 g) for every 25 ml of warm breast milk (approximately 37 °C). If the quantity of breast milk available is less, reduce the quantity of powder proportionately to avoid an overdose. When the quantity of an entire sachet is not used, weigh the powder with a laboratory scale where available, in adequate hygienic conditions.
5. Mix gently until the powder is completely dissolved.
6. For a correct use, use the product immediately or in accordance with the hospital procedure for the use of breast milk fortifiers.

Warnings
For safe use, do not store the prepared product. Prepare each meal as indicated and always dispose of any leftover product within 2 hours. Infants should always be supervised at mealtimes.
Storage
Store the sealed sachets in a clean, dry place away from heat sources (< 25 °C, not in the refrigerator). Once the sachet has been opened, do not use any leftover product.
