Ultrasounds are high frequency sounds (higher than 20 kHz) usually not audible to the human ear but annoyingly warned by many insects, parasites and rodents that move away from environments, people and pets. Constant frequency emissions have been shown to be addictive and reduce the repellent effect over time. The Colpharma devices, thanks to an innovative technology, emit intermittent ultrasounds that are not addictive and improve the repellent effect.
The ultrasounds radiate outwards with a conical shape (like the light of a beacon). They cannot get past solid objects (walls, furniture) on which they reflect, turn around corners and are absorbed by soft objects (carpets, curtains, etc.). In a closed environment the ultrasounds are reflected on the surfaces, saturating the environment and creating a protective shield.
The ultrasounds radiate towards the person, the animal and the ground where they are reflected, creating a protective barrier. Ultrasounds, at the right frequency, with a correct waveform and at variable intervals, guarantee an excellent repellent effect for people and animals (dogs and cats) from ticks and fleas.
